Plant Improvements and Modernization
Steam Generation provides mechanical construction and maintenance services for the modernization of existing plant equipment. These improvement projects have involved the installation of component redesigns, material system upgrades and new equipment.
Surrounding equipment is sometimes operational and often limits access in the work area, requiring our personnel to be innovative in their approach to the execution of a particular project. SGC effectively interfaces with plant engineering, maintenance and operation departments to ensure a successful project.

Orbital Welding
Seam Generation Corporation has completely retubed numerous General Electric Combined Cycle HRSG boilers which consist of a superheat section, evaporator section, and economizer section. SGC has retubed several at many different generating stations and plants operated by both APS and SRP.
Overhauls, Shutdowns and Turn arounds
Steam Generation Corporation performs critical, time intensive work with excellent results. During twenty years of providing service to the construction industry we have never missed a start up deadline.
Our intrinsic ability to plan and execute within allocated work schedules has earned SGC a record of proven performance on every overhaul, shutdown and turn around, ranging from minor repairs to the most complex and demanding of projects.
We assemble a working field force comprised of supervisors and cross crafted personnel who are selected for skill capabilities specific to each of the client’s project requirements. The company employs a work force that averages over twenty years of experience per man in the construction industry.
SGC’s field management staff is well-versed in expediting labor-intensive projects with the greatest efficiency. They are prepared to respond quickly to unforeseen changes in work scope in order to prevent schedule slippage and increased project costs. We utilize the latest software for CPM [critical path method], scheduling planning, and critical path monitoring.
